Growing up, Miguel had always been aware of his grandparents’ role in the Philippine leftist movement— but only peripherally. After his Grandpa suffered from a near-fatal illness, he decided to begin trying to understand who his grandparents really were. However, this was more difficult than he thought.
For Miguel, unearthing a family history that was intertwined with his country’s was intimidating. This film explores what happens to revolutionaries–and those closest to them–after the revolution moves on.
